Natasha Tia is hosting a series of mambo dance, and special program classes in San Diego starting in June! Classes are conveniently located in Encinitas and La Jolla. Please see below to learn more about the schedule and program offerings.

Monday's, June 7, 14, 21, 28:

Location: Dance North County, Encinitas

6:00-7:00pm: Beginner Salsa On2

7:00-7:30pm: 30 Minute Monday

7:30-8:30pm: Mambo+Music: playing the instruments & dancing to them (with Josh Gorden)

8:30-9:30pm: Musicality: w/ live instrumentation (with Josh Gorden)

Tuesday's, June 8, 15, 22, 29:

Location: Ooh La La, La Jolla

6:30-7:30pm: Adv. Beginner Mambo Spins & Turns

7:30-8:30pm: Int. Advanced Mambo Footwork

8:30-10:30pm: Footwork Performance Team (closed team, attend June 8th open call auditions to apply)

Mambo+Music Monday's - 4 Week Program: 

Location: Dance North County, Encinitas 

Natasha Tia and Josh Gorden of Salsa On The Beach SD are partnering up on Monday nights in June to provide a unique learning experience which brings instrumentation and dancing together under one roof. Gain a deeper connection to the music and the dance by learning how to play the instruments and dance to them 

Monday's, June 7th thru June 28th: 

7:30-8:30pm: Mambo+Music: playing the instruments & dancing to them 

This is an interactive class that will have you dancing and playing music! You will learn how to play basic afro-latin percussive rhythms from Josh AND how to intuitively dance to those rhythms from Natasha as they present themselves in the music we know and love to dance to. 

8:30-9:30pm: Musicality: w/ live instrumentation 

In this class you will learn a footwork pattern that is musically choreographed to a percussion solo which Josh will play live for us in class. Feel connected to the live instrumentation and learn how to intuitively feed off the drum solos. 

Natasha Tia's Performance Team: 

Location: Ooh La La in La Jolla 

Natasha's performance team will practice on Tuesday's at Ooh La La in La Jolla from 8:30-10:30pm. Through learning choreography created by Natasha Tia you will have the opportunity to learn her philosophies on becoming a well rounded dancer and gain an understanding of the technique it takes to move with ease & control. 

Tuesday's: 

8:30-10:30pm: Footwork choreography team by Natasha Tia 

Learn Natasha's style, technique and philosophies of dance, plus be a part of a community of people who are supportive, empowering and uplifting.

What is 30 Minute Monday?

30 Minute Monday is, in very few words, a footwork jam and practice session led by Natasha Tia. In this class format you will get your brain functioning in a unique way to accomplish the same goal, learn to dance the Mambo! Most importantly, ease into letting go of expectations and start discovering your personal flow within the music, and the energy of the room. Come have fun and practice your steps with me!
